ArborCAD is a brilliant program which is easy to use. ArborTrail has greatly reduced the time spent on site. It produces professional plans in minimal time. Both have improved our reports no end. We highly recommend them!

| I receive most of my work from mainstream national house builders, and usually get digitised topographic survey information as a starting point. This makes ArborCAD an invaluable piece of software. I collect field data using a PDA and a small home-developed database using Xsforms (free at http://www.grandasoft.com/Products/XSForms/). Back in the office it's a simple case of downloading the database info into Excel, copying into ArborCAD, and then plotting out the trees onto the digitised Topo survey using the snap function in AutoCAD. In my most recent survey I plotted over 350 trees in under 3 hours, including all the data transfer between software elements. In the 'old days' such an exercise would have taken days rather than hours. I can honestly say that ArborCAD more than paid for itself on that job alone. After the initial setup and tweaks to set up the filters, it's routine. Using the PDA saves even more time, as I can produce a schedule (almost) directly from the data transfer. |

| I would like to say
that it is rubbish so no body else buys it but I can’t! I
would recommend anybody dealing with Architects and their
idealised AutoCAD drawings to invest in ArborCAD! The help
and support was excellent, the cost soon fades into
insignificance when the product is learnt and the speed of
plotting ……….. well you will have to see for yourself. Easy
to install, some database fiddling and you are away. Well done to Chris for actually providing surveyors with a tool that speeds things up and adds to our professionalism. |
